Keyence IM Systems

Keyence IM Systems are are great tools for in-house inspection and quality assurance programs. These machines come with a NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) traceable certificate of factory calibration, which is valid for the life of the machine. This means that your IM system does not need to be sent into the manufacturer for yearly calibration like many other metrology and inspection equipment does.

Recalibration vs. Recertification

Keyence IM Systems are a solid state image dimensional measurement system, built around fixed position lenses, which include sets of telecentric lenses. The optics used for capturing measurements are fixed, and since no mechanical measurement is involved in determining these measurement results there is no need for the recalibration of it’s internal components. Formal recalibration (or repair) is only required in the event the system is dropped or physically damaged, otherwise your IM system needs only a yearly recertification.

Recertification Service

In order to comply with national standards your IM system must be recertified at a minimum of once every 365 days. We offer recertification services for your IM systems that can be performed on-site at your location. Our recertification service can get your system up to standards quickly, and without having to send your machine anywhere.
